For Me
1. Food, especially health bars, tuna packets, and anything with high protein or vitamins. Anything that is sealed in plastic and lightweight is also great.
2.Crayons- I've been doing more work in the schools and the kids love drawing and coloring!
3. Pens
4. Magazines
5. Travel size toiletries
6. Batteries (AA or AAA)
*Finally, Kolda will be holding their Youth Empowerment Camps again this March. We are looking for arts and crafts. Key chains, string, that lanyard material, etc, etc. Each camp will have 25 kids and about 10 volunteers.
I'll be coming home around April! Do with this information what you will.
MERCI
How many of you who are going to be doctors are willing to spend your days in Ghana? Technicians or engineers, how any of you are willing to work in the Foreign Service and spend your lives traveling around the world? On your willingness to do that, not merely to serve one year or two years in the service, but on your willingness to contribute part of your life o this country, I think will depend the answer whether a free society can complete. I think it can! And I think Americans are willing to contribute. But the effort must be far greater than we have ever made in the past.
